Ideas On Decorating Your Bedroom With Paint
Many people love to redecorate their houses. They like to build things and shift things and even install insulation and knock out walls and start all over on "fixer upper" houses. If you aren't that crafty or don't have the money to do that, one great way to redecorate your house is to paint a room.
The bedroom is usually a good choice for a room to paint as you do spend a lot of time in there and want the colors of the walls to be something you like. Plus, it's a smaller project than painting something like the living room or kitchen. There are many great bedroom painting ideas. First, you need to find a color that will work well in your sleeping space. The classic color wheel has 12 colors on it. The primary colors are red, yellow, and blue. The secondary colors are green, orange, and purple. And when you combine a secondary color with its neighboring primary color, you get the tertiaries which gives us the remaining colors for our 12 shaded wheel. For bedroom painting ideas, you want to choose a color that induces relaxation and peace. Blues and greens dominate in this area. Knowing that makes the entire project a bit easier as now when you go shopping for paint, you can rule out any color that is not in this side of the color wheel. Lowes, Ikea, Sherwin Williams, and Home Depot are all great places to shop for paint as they have a huge selection of colors. They also have very helpful employees that can help you choose the right brand of paint depending on what you plan on painting and how big your bedroom is. Some of these stores can also give you samples of patterns, styles, or texturing if you want to get a bit more creative. For those less creative people or people who are just stretched for time and/or money, there are other bedroom painting ideas. You could start with a very neutral color like white, beige, or eggshell to cover the walls with and decorate from there. You could buy some very plain picture frames, paint them bold, bright colors, fill them with pictures of your loved ones and hang them. That gives plenty of color to the room without killing your budget. You could also paint borders in your room. That gives rooms an added touch of color without going crazy. Whatever you decide to do, just make sure it fits your personality and tastes and you'll end up happy.
